SAVVY: A Life-Changing Experience

The Savvy two-day workshop was a life changing experience. I have been on the verge of starting my own consulting business for the last 3 years.  Until the time for the conference, I was never able to find time to get started, and continued to procrastinate. As a consultant, I am a content matter expert in the following areas; College access,  college experiences of historically underrepresented students,  diversity, social justice-equity-inclusion and access training, leadership development, organizational management, program assessment and program evaluation, and event planning.

I holds a BA in Elementary Education,  MS in Higher Education Leadership, and is currently pursuing doctorial study in Higher Education Leadership at the University of Toledo. As a consultant I hold over 12 years of professional experience within the field of higher education. I have worked at various institutions across the country including; Indiana State University, Oregon State University, The University of  Iowa, and The Ohio State University.

I value creating spaces where all people can learn, grow, and be in authentic relationship. My personal passion has taken me on a journey of self-growth, and personal transformation. SAVVY: A Motivational Experience

On August 1 I attended SAVVY: A Transformational Weekend Experience. I departed after the two-day in-depth workshop...MOTIVATED!

After experiencing SAVVY I have implemented some of the material I learned by starting to write my book again. Before SAVVY I was at a standstill and couldn’t quite get my thoughts in order. The facilitator Sandee Hemphill helped open up some things for me. I have especially enjoyed reading the book provided in the gift bag. “Step out and take your place” by Krista Dunk has been a major blessing. I spend more time giving God my undivided attention sitting in silence with him and read His Word, praying over my household, my day to day circumstances and finally not being afraid to give Him everything. I have seen a tremendous difference since SAVVY. God is showing me what my true gifts are and guiding me along the way. SAVVY has helped me realized the bigger picture and I have been sharing what I learned with anyone who will listen.
Attending SAVVY has motivated me to dig deeper into what my business may look like and how I can help others. Hearing from professional God fearing women motivated me even more.
